Long Term Calendar
LABOR DAY FAMILY PICNIC Monday, Sept. 6th, 5 p.m. @ the Rockport Boat Club. All parishioners are invited to this annual St. Thomas’ event. Please mark your calendars! Hosts John Doncaster and Frank Beane will provide burgers, dogs & the ‘fixings’. They ask each family to bring a ‘pot luck’ salad or desert to share, plus their own beverages, plates & utensils. A voluntary $5 per adult contribution will be requested (kids eat free!) supplementing sponsor donations to cover event costs. As we did last year we hope to generate an event surplus for donation to a charity designated by the kids. Please use sign up sheets located in the sun room & church entrance so that an accurate count can be made for food. -Frank Beane.Sunday, September 19, 2010

EfM PROGRAM INSPIRES US Education for Ministry (EfM) is a program available locally through our church that is intended to give us a comprehensive and well-organized adult Christian education. It is a rich and enjoyable seminar experience because it is the study of Scripture, Church History, and Theology. It is also inspiring because the learning and reflection take place in community. This means that participants not only gain their own new insights and inspiration, but also share in the insights and inspiration of others. There are no EfM classes during the summer. They will start again in September, so it’s a good time to consider enrolling for the fall. For more information, contact Rosalee Glass, 236-0656 or 864-5146, rosalee.glass@myfairpoint.net, or leave your name with St. Thomas’ Parish Administrator Carol Miller, 236-3680, stthoscamden@roadrunner.com.
